Lemon Juice For Toothache

Lemon is an excellent home remedy to relieve toothache, since its juice has properties that fight bacteria and act as an antiseptic, which allows to relieve inflammation and thus, reduce pain in a short time.

Although lemon juice is effective, it should not be the only treatment used for toothache, especially if the pain lasts more than 2 days. In these cases, it is recommended to consult a dentist to identify the cause of the pain and start the appropriate treatment.

Lemon Juice for Toothache

Ingredients

  • Squeeze 1 lemon;
  • 1 piece of cotton or gauze.
  • How to prepare

    Dip the cotton or gauze in the pure lemon juice, remove the excess and apply this compress on the tooth that is causing the pain or is inflamed leaving it to act for a few minutes. This procedure should be repeated at least 3 times a day.

    Another way to use lemon to combat toothache is to prepare a mixture of lemon with water (in equal parts) and use that mixture to rinse immediately after proper tooth brushing.
