The dissociated diet was created under the principle that you cannot combine in the same meal foods rich in proteins, such as meats and eggs, with foods of the carbohydrate group such as pasta or bread.
This is because when combining these two groups of foods in meals, during their digestion they will cause an intense formation of acids in the body, being this the reason why you should eat less acid-generating foods and more alkaline foods, the latter being vegetables.
It is not possible to make a complete division of proteins and carbohydrates because a large part of the food is composed of both macronutrients.
