What to do if you experience a pre workout crash
When you experience a pre workout crash, it can be hard to know what’s going on. Is it just your body adjusting to the stimulant? Or are these symptoms of something more serious? It can be difficult to tell without knowing how long this has been happening or if there have been other changes in your lifestyle that could have caused it. If you suspect that this is not just due to a stimulant but instead may signal an underlying health problem, please speak with a medical professional and get evaluated as soon as possible!

If this is a one time thing that you think might be caused by using too much stimulant, the following tips may help you get through it. When experiencing a pre workout crash while exercising, try extending your warm up period (especially if you don’t normally do so).
- Stay hydrated!
Many people don’t drink nearly enough water in the days leading up to their workout. While you might think that drinking a lot of water during your workout will make you feel bloated or heavy, this is actually not true. Drinking plenty of water before and during your workout can help prevent dehydration!
- Stay warm!
When you’re exercising, your body temperature rises. You may be tempted to put on a sweater or wrap yourself up in a blanket when that happens, but it’s probably not a good idea. The last thing you want to do is wrap yourself up in too many layers of clothing because you may end up getting overheated and that’s not a good way to start your workout. A simple solution? Get yourself some good quality sweat bands or wristbands (available in many different colors).
- Don’t rush!
Everyone gets excited when they get into the gym and see everyone else working out. Don’t be fooled into thinking that if you can get your workout done early, you’ll have more time to enjoy yourself later on!
