The health benefits of tea and honey
In fact, honey and tea have many common points, let’s review together…
Antibacterial effect. The antibacterial activity of tea is recognized; honey has the same effect! In 2014, a research team from India announced that tea and honey have very strong antibacterial activities against Helicobacter pylori, a bacterium causing stomach ulcer and gastric cancer. It can be mentioned more specifically that honey has a stronger ability than tea to inhibit this bacterium.

In practice: Drinking two glasses of hot black tea in the morning and evening can effectively prevent people from getting infected by H. pylori bacteria; drinking 100 ml of honey water each day can also inhibit bacterial growth; those who are prone to infections must be more careful with their choice of honey!
Wounds heal faster with honey than with commercial wound ointments or salt water.
Recent studies indicate that wounds treated with honey have a faster healing speed than those treated by commercial wound ointments or saline solution. In the study published in the International Journal of Dermatology in January 2013, they found that wounds were healed even more quickly when fresh juice from lilies was added to manuka honey: the wound area decreased at an average pace of 42 square millimeters per day.
