How to Build Progressive Overload Abs

It’s true. You can build your abs without going to the gym or even doing any crunches at all! It’s not just about working them out, but adding some variety into your routine and building that progressive overload.

1) Start by completing 3 sets of 20 gradual triceps extensions with a resistance band held behind the head from a seated position.

2) Do traditional sit-ups with toes under one end of a large towel or ballpoint pen in between your feet – this will help you focus only on engaging the abdominal muscles and keep maximum pressure on it throughout while executing sit-ups. There are many variations for this – try placing two balls of different weights together as shown in video to vary intensity – and see what works best for you.

3) Do 20 traditional crunches with knees raised and toes
