Can we do yoga after meal?

What’s the best time to practice yoga? Well, it depends on what you’re looking for. If you want a more energetic practice, then morning is best. On the other hand, if you’re feeling tired and need a little boost- try doing your yoga in the evening.

Doing yoga after a meal is not recommended. When you eat, your body absorbs certain nutrients and then expels the rest through your digestive tract. After eating a meal, it takes approximately two to three hours for food to be digested completely. You could potentially experience bloating or nausea during yoga if your stomach is still full from a big meal!

It is better to wait at least two hours after a meal before doing yoga. Some people will even wait 4 to 6 hours depending on how full they feel.
